Starting April 17, it’s finally here: Our summer flower sale begins—and things are about to get really colorful around here again. Stop by and bring a touch of spring into your home. Since 1946, we’ve stood for quality and a genuine passion for gardening—and in 2026, we’ll be celebrating our 80th anniversary!

A summer full of color
Our summer flower sale runs through mid-June
We combine variety with quality. You’ll find a wide selection of summer flowers, including petunias, hanging basket mixes, herbs, and fruit and vegetable plants. And of course, our classic geranium is a must-have. Choose from over 40 different varieties, whether hanging or upright, with double or single blooms.
This year, too, our extensive selection of plants is complemented by matching, stylish accessories such as planters, window boxes, baskets, and much more. There’s something for every customer. You’re also welcome to have the plants you’ve selected planted directly on-site in your new containers or those you’ve brought with you.
We offer the Melle delivery service for our plants, soil, and fertilizer within a 40-kilometer radius (for an additional fee). We’re looking forward to the 2026 season!

Our plant production has been MPSA+ certified for five years now. Our work processes have been accredited with GLOBALG.A.P. GRASP since 2022.
Each plastic pot is made of 100% recycled PCR material.

The Company's History
Begins
In 1946, Georg Melle
laid the foundation
for the company. Immediately after World War II, the focus was on growing fruits and vegetables. Later, a wide variety of ornamental plants were added.
Carolin Melle Suddenly Becomes Company President
At the age of 20, Carolin Melle takes over her late father’s business and continues to run it alongside operations manager Cord Drücker and with the support of the entire Melle team. Traditional values meet innovative ideas, and Melle Nursery evolves into a driving force behind the Gardengirls® brand.
Looking to the Future
In 2026, we will celebrate our 80th anniversary with pride and joy.
Eighty years of passion and growth. We are also working to optimize our production, logistics,
and inventory management. The first new open-field areas have already been implemented. Additional construction projects are currently
in the planning stages.
